City Officers

City officers have the most time commitment of the character options and are therefore a large responsibility. You do not need to be glued to your computer to be a city officer. However, we do expect city officers to come on, for the most part, at least once a day during the weekday days. Furthermore, City Officers should be able to make more time when they are needed for a plot event.

Real life happens, and we know this. So if you are playing an Officer and something comes up - unless you want it to impact your character's situation in-game, please PM us and let us know what's going on. We can go from there and either assign the responsibilities to another character if possible, or the STs may have to speak for your character during your absence.

Elders

PCs are welcome to play Elders as well. Again, please be aware that this is a committment as you will be serving and pursuing the interests of your clan. Please PM us if you are interested in playing an Elder.

Below are the Court Positions within the Dark Ages setting.

Seneshcal
The prince's right-hand man, the seneschal, occupies his nights with the minutiae of the city's administration. The seneschal is first to hear all complaints before choosing which to bring to the attention of the prince. In some principalities, the seneschal is nothing more than a secretary, a lackey and personal attendant of the prince. In others, the seneschal wields more power than the prince and is the real power behind the throne. In Venice, the role of Seneschal falls somewhere in between, though when Prince Vittorio is not present the Senechal runs most princely duties.
Current Seneschal: Christobal Roma

Sheriff
The sheriff is the Prince's enforcer, who deals with juristdiction and security within the city of Venice. He is the head of investigations involving threats to the Cainites of the city, though he also may be tasked to keep order among the Cainite court within.
Current Sheriff: Barius Viso

Keeper
The Keeper is the mystical adviser to the court. Oracles are commonly sought for this position, as are those well versed in the occult and supernatural lore. Keepers are spiritual people, and in these times are often ashen priests - adherents and teachers of one of the roads.
Current Keeper: Krail

Chamberlain
As the social heart of a prince's court, the chamberlain organizes feasts and tournaments, welcomes out-of-town dignitaries and attends to the prince's person. The chamberlain's main talents are gossip and rumor-mongering. However, all prince's understand the benefits of having a chamberlain, and most allow them to feel the pulse of their subjects and weed out any potential detractors.
Current Chamberlain: Andre Velasquez

Scourge
The scourge is the Prince's executioner and assassin. His duties are to patrol a prince's domain for the unwanted individuals - caitiff, autarkis, and other undesirables - and either take them to the Prince or offiers, or, destroy them outright if the Prince so wishes. The position of scourge has heavy stigma, as they are often mistrusted and feared.
Current Scourge: Eliza D'Amico
